January – 1099 and W2 Filing

1099Happy New Year from Polymath! We hope that the last year has been a great year for you, and we would love to be part of your strategy to make this year even better.

January is our busiest month here at Polymath. We are going to be working hard to ensure that 1099’s and W-2’s are sent out on time to the employees and contractors for all of our clients, and before we can begin that process all prior-year reconciliations need to be completed. We really appreciate your assistance in ensuring that this January goes smoothly for everyone. Here some some things that you can do to help:

  1. Please send us your monthly bank statements and financial documents as soon as possible. This will enable us to complete your reconciliations in a timely fashion and run the essential reports for your 1099 filing.
  2. Please make sure that you have accurate W-9’s on file for your contractors. This will save everyone from needing to track down missing information at the last moments.
  3. Given our larger than normal work load with these form filings, you may experience longer than normal response times from us. We always endeavor to get back to you within one business day, and we appreciate your patience if there are a few things that end up waiting just a bit longer. As always, if you don’t hear back from us within a couple days, please feel free to contact us again, as it is possible for emails and messages to get missed. If something is urgent, please be sure to call our office to bring it to our immediate attention.
  4. Some issues that are not directly payroll/1099 related may need to wait for resolution until February, as those form filings will be taking top priority. We are currently scheduling appointments for mid to late February, and we recommend getting on our schedule soon if you anticipate needing to sit down with us.

We thank you for trusting us with your business, and for your continuing patronage. It is because of clients like you who that we are able to grow as a business and do what we love. We hope we can continue to help your business grow as well.

None of this would be possible without the support of wonderful friends and clients like you. We wish you a joyous and prosperous year!

Many thanks,

The Polymath Team
