QuickBooks Online Feature Allows Online Payment for Recurring Invoices

 

How To Create a Recurring Invoice

Many users are dependent on memorized transactions to save time every month and avoid forgetting a routine task.  Recurring invoices are especially handy if your business is subscription based or you have multiple client who always pay the same amount on a set schedule.

There are two ways to create a recurring invoice.

The first ways is by clicking on the gear in the upper right hand corner and click on recurring transactions.  In the next window click on new.  You will select invoice as the transaction type.  This is the screen that you will see and be able to set up the schedule as is appropriate depending on the invoice.

The second way to create a recurring invoice is to create the invoice as you normally would and click on “Make Recurring” at the bottom of the create invoice window.

QuickBooks made recurring invoices even more helpful adding an option to accept online payments.  This means that now QuickBooks will automatically send the invoice to your customer every month, your client can click a button to pay, and the money will show up in your bank account.  It couldn’t be easier.

How to Enable Online Payments on Recurring Invoices

To enable online payments on recurring invoices you simply set up the the invoice by using one of the methods described above.  If you have any questions please leave a comment below and we will reply to you there.

Once you have setup the invoice and schedule exactly as you want in make sure that you have the invoice automatically emailed to your customer.  Finally check the online payment option that you are choosing to offer.  The two that are currently available are credit card and bank transfer.

Now simply save the template and you are all set to go!
